I punched out a seal from the passenger side steering knuckle which is shown on top of the driver's side steering knuckle with that seal still in place:

No one seems to have the replacement seals. Checked AZ when I returned the ball joint fork, nope. Went to NAPA and they checked every listing, finally found the part which is called a "Knuckle Seal", but they don't have it. They even checked GM's part system and it said "not available". Checked RockAuto, nope. Any idea where to get this or am I stuck with the dealer and ordering it?

Update: Need to drill out bolts from driver's side knuckle and rivets from upper A-Arm. I'll take in the A-Arms to have the bushings pressed in while I'm off working in Chicago during the week. Wife will hit the dealer on Tuesday to hopefully order the knuckle seals. If I get everything, then it should all go back together fairly quickly, like just a couple hours as everything is new. This dealing with rusting drive train stuff gets old fast. I really feel sorry for the snow belt guys here who deal with this all the time.

I've gotten them at napa. Bring the old one with you and go by dimension instead of application. I don't understand why there would be 2 seals in there.

They call it a wheel seal. I looked at 95 k2500 suburban-wheel-hub

I think your burb has to have everything done the hard way.

I did bring the part with me to NAPA, but they failed.

I guess it's two parts. One is a flange ring which stays on the CV Axle. The Dorman Reman axles did not come with this flange ring. It's a snug press fit and it bends when you use a chisel to pry it off. That part can be probably be reused. The seal that stays in the knuckle prolly should be replaced. I went to RockAuto and found the parts under Brake>Wheel Seal. I ordered the National 710103. If I measure the OD including the lip, it matches the 4.063" they specified. $3.79 each plus $2.35 for first class mail shipping. Hope it gets to me by next weekend.

Thanks for the help!

The following is a picture of the page from GM's Electronic Parts Catalog for your front suspension. I can provide you with their part numbers for a part if you like.

We looked at that diagram at NAPA and it does not show it. Closest part would be #24.

Wrong axles? Or missing parts? Look at the heavy or light 4x4 parts to see if there may be a difference by 8 or 6 lug...

Maybe you got newer parts from China assuming all years are the same when they are not. Belt tensioners come to mind with different spring tensions for AC compressor driver or passenger side setups...

Based on a post here, I bought the Dorman reman axles from RockAuto. Reportedly they are rebuilt in the US, whereas the new ones are made in China.

The inner mounting hub has a round OD whereas the ones I took off had a 6 pointed star OD reflecting the bolt pattern. Otherwise, they are exactly the same.

I will note that one axle had punched out the cap on the inside hub and that one sticks out further. So I'm looking for advice on how to get that pushed back in? I guess a call to Dorman is in order today.
