This past weekend, March 11th - 15th was our annual Open House and we were completely swamped; we're still trying to get everything back in order.

I spoke to several folks regarding parts on the phone this weekend, but we were so completely swamped, I'm sure I let something slip through the cracks.

If I didn't get back to you on a parts request, please give me a call or shoot me an email and we'll get you strait.

Anyways, here's some pictures of the mayhem that happens at our Open House.....

You should've told those Sheriff's Deputies that you do sell programmers for those Crown Vics...):h

Actually, the hung out and had dinner with us. We we're doing the shrimp boil and grilling the sausage when they pulled up.

I asked them if they wanted to put one of the cruisers up against my truck. ):h

They got there because someone heard all the shotguns going off from us shooting the clays, but there is nothing against it where we're at.

They just came in to make sure everything was cool.

They wanted to see what was up and after I told them about the Chevelle and the 2 'vettes in the shop, they wanted to see.

There was 2 female deputies (the one was HOT and was diggin' on the '65 Stingray :D )and a male deputy. The guy came back a little bit later.....he owns a 6.0 PowerStroke and had some questions.

All in good fun.

We ended up with a bit over 40 people, 31 trucks, and I can't even count the number of projects we did.

We were suppossed to hit the track in Friday night but the weather didn't cooperate with us.

We headed up to the dyno on Monday and let everyone try out there new goodies on the dyno. Only 2 trucks were under 400 HP, so it wasn't too bad at all.

I ended up putting down 724 HP and 1492 lbs of torque....I had a little too much timing for the air temp and got a bit of detonation at full boost and 2250 RPM's.

Great turnout!! Looks like a great time Rich.

Yeah, we had a lot of good folks.

We had folks come in from as far away as Washington State, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Illinois, Louisianna, Mississippi, Tennessee, ......

We basically open up the shop, let folks use the tools, show them how to do their projects and assist as needed. It's pretty much a weekend of free labor. All we ask is that you bring a small donation of expendables (brake cleaner, shop towels, batteries, anti-seize, garbage bags, etc....). Small stuff just to offset all the crap that gets used up.

Gotta thank a few folks that provided some goodies for the give aways. Had items from Garrett Turbos, Turbo Diesel and Electric of Atlanta, lots of factory parts from Mopar and James O'Neal Dodge, Fleetguard and Cummins pitched in and I need need to give a big thanks to the US Army Marksmanship Unit for donating the skeet thrower and 10 cases of clays for us.

Actually, it was 4 days of it.

Folks started arriving on Thursday evening while we were getting setup.

Friday - Monday was the main event.

We had it planned like this, unfortunately Mother Nature didn't cooperate.....

Friday - Build and hit the track that evening.
Saturday - Build and have the shrimp boil / BBQ that evening.
Sunday - Poker Run, build and have a BBQ and raffle that evening.
Monday - Hit the dyno.

Too much rain to hit the track and it slowed us down on some of the projects, so we had to scrap the Poker Run to get everything done.

Was a MUCH bigger event than last year. Last year was our first event and we had about 17 trucks and 20 - 30 people.

This year was nearly double that and we had five 5th wheels / travel trailers out front and a whole slew of folks pitching tents.

Definitely a good time.....but man did we get behind with getting stuff shipped out. I finally got caught up on all the paper work and receipts today.

Thanks for the invite Rich...

seriously though...looks like a good time was had by all...

maybe you can make it to one of our gtg's here in La...

or try to make to tanks bash on the bayou at State Capitol Dragway in B.R., La on April 24th... it's a nice 1/4 strip and a lot of the La members from this site go to it...

Let us know...

We're gonna open it up to all next year.

This year started out as one of the forums wanting to do a G2G and we offered to host it and make it an open house. From there is was friends inviting friends, etc.

I think next year we'll do it as a big open house.

Got any other details on the April 24th event?

Only bad thing about us traveling to the events is we can't offer the full range of services at the shop.....kinda hard to load up the mill, the lathe, all the welding and grinding equipment, presses, etc. A lot of that stuff is key to doing the installs and builds.

We have our 24 ft shop trailer that we bring to most places, but it limits us to more basic installs. Obviously gauges, lift pumps, injectors, exhausts, etc., are all easy from the trailer, but fabrication, swapping clutches and TC's, milling custom parts, pulling motors, etc., is kind of out of the picture.

Now, here's another option.....

If you guys want to do a forum specific G2G, we can certainly open up the shop again for it, I'd just need some notice so we can plan for it.

I would HIGHLY advise against doing it between June - Sep, as it's hotter than all hell here and a lot of the stuff happens outside the shop.

Spring and Fall are the best time for events here.

It's best to give folks a few months notice so vacation time can be planned, travel arrangements can be made, sweet talking the better half can happen, parts can get ordered, arrangements with the track, dyno and other establishments can get done.

I can usually call in favors from all my suppliers about twice a year so there are plenty of items to give away, so if you'd want to do it, I suggest the fall time frame.
