Well as you know I bent a rod and have no choice but to build the motor.

And since there is already tons of money into the truck over the winter there is none left.

But here is what I have come up with as a somewhat budget build yet still stout to handle a lot and not have to buy things again. I can assure you it will be back out numerous times for more goodies though.

Carrillo Rods
Delipped/Coat my Stock pistons (Guy@Socal)
Main Studs
Billet Injector Holdowns/studs
Beehive valvesprings
Socal Damper
Clevite "H" Bearings
Keyed Stock Crank and Cam
40% or 60% injectors (maybe)
Twin CP3s (Maybe, I have the other pump already)
New Water pump
New headgaskets
All of the various seals and such as well.

The balancing, and other machine work will be handled by curtis@DPR, assembly will be handled by me.

I may be forgetting something, but as of now this is how things stand.

Estimated time of completion?? Who knows, its not cheap.

Looks fun. Have you thought about finding a stock LB7 to put in for the time being and just build the other as cash allows?

i have one in the shop right, now but i dont wanna spend the time or money to reassemble it. Plus it was a preproduction motor and some things are different.

Looks like you've got everything planned out...

Good luck Vinny! You think you'll be down all season?

hopefully not, if it starts to look that way though ill probably put the other motor in.

Well now Im leaning towards curtises rods. Just not sure i guess.

With the parts prices from guy im looking at about $7,000 with me doing the work.

Im waiting to hear back from curtis with his prices and such.

Well ive decided i will be running curtises X beam rods.

Got a few other little things to get decided on and then I will have my plan and exact price layed out.

Its actually a little under $7,000 now.
