this is what I got

I disconnected and blanked off the EGR and I'm replacing the vac pump with an electric one. I'm a little fuzzy on what my computer is going to do and was wondering if this is going to effect fuel to the injectors or effect engine performance. This is my 1500GMC nat asp 1995
 
The SES light went out and stayed out, I'm going with it but if someone can explain the magic that happens with the MAP and the computer I'm all ears
 
With a OBD-II turboed F/L65 (non EGR) similar to what I see in the n/a schematic, the PCM does not monitor for vac, in the S/L56 the vac to run the EGR is monitored via the firewall baro after first baro pressure is sent to the PCM. The OBD-I turbo and I would expect the same for the n/a does not monitor vac, but only the MAP reading, which is why in a turboed L56 OBD-I (S/L56) engine to defeat EGR one only need to unplug the vac supply to the EGR valve and plug the vac line so you still have vac available to run the turbo WG. I doubt with cost of engineering time they would have varied the program much just because it is a n/a engine.

OBD-I is a little less complex than OBD-II ergo anybody with a smidgin of intelligence & tuning tools can tweak the programs, because the puter in it is simple by comparision.
