hey guys. woundering if anyone has had this froblem before. one warm day i started the truck and let it idle for a minute and went to pull it in the driveway and all of a sudden it started to misfire and crap loads of white smoke(raw fuel) started to pour out the tail pipe so i shut it off. i e-mailed walt and he told me the injectors were done. so i ordered a set from summit racing, put them in last night. when i went to fire it up it was still doing the same thing. i cracked the fuel line at the injectors to see if i had fuel when the supply pump was on and nothing. im not a diesel mechanic, im a gas guy and this is my first diesel. any suggestions

Cylinder misfire is usually the result of a broken valve (or seat) or broken piston.

could be rocker retainers (plastic) too. I'd vote for broken valve...

Does your rig crank and start easely ? Have your compression checked.

its zero out today so it took a little to start. but it would crank over a little slower then usual. then sometimes it would be ok. what are your suggestions?

Take a minute and fill out your signature. That way we will know what year truck you are working on. Different years can have different tests.
If your truck is a 94 -2000 you can connect a scan tool and disable cylinders to find out which one is missing. It would save pulling both valve covers to look for broken retainers or bent pushrods, or broken valve springs. A infared therometer will help narrow down a colder cylinder also by pointing it at the exhaust manifolds by each cylinder.

How is your Lift Pump? depending on the year, the Lift Pump is operated by the OPS.

How is your fuel filter?

Where is your PMD? assuming 94-00 model year. For 93, you are free from answering this question.
