Ok guys, quick question. I know I need a 3 bar map sensor to keep my truck from coding while running a TM. My question is, does anyone have a parts number for one? Or is it the same as the turbo boost sensor? Thanks guys

3 bar is 3 atmospheres correct?

Or put another way 14.7 psi*3(at sea level).

1 atmosphere is normal pressure + boost,do you intend to run more than 14psi boost?

Part # for 3 bar map sensor:AC Delco 213-101

GM #'s 12223861, 16040749, 213101

Rock auto # ACDELCO Part # 2131562

You need a tune to keep your computer from coding and limping/cutting fuel with a TM. MAP sensor alone isn't going to prevent this as high IAT's can also limp the computer. You don't normally replace a MAP sensor rather get a tune.

This question comes from OP original thread.

Apparently, the 3 Bar MAP sensor is the same as adding the 10K Pot to the existing MAP sensor to fool the sensor so the TM can be adjusted at a little bit higher pressure like 12 psi without defueling or causing high EGT. Obviously it won't be as high boost as a new tune.

Ebay seems to be a good source for 3 Bar MAP sensor.
Just search "GM 3 Bar map".

The part no is actually in some of the link posted by Edz in the original post.
People just have to cut and paste the link to a browser because link to non-vendor is prohibited but not impossible.
