I put the stock bed on my uncles truck yesterday as he had a flatbed put on 3 years ago. Well instead of just tapping into the wires at the rear, they cut the plug that feeds power into the grey distribution block at the left rear of the truck. that means unless I want to hack the wiring further, I need to find that plug to re-wire in just to have working taillights. Do you guys know of any place that would have this. Maybe tommorrow I will hit a few junkyards, but if I could get a new one today it would be good.

Junkyard it was. Juust pisses me off that instead of doing it the right way, the people just half assed it and it cost me not being able to drive the truck for 2 days. :mad2:

That is exactly what the previous owner of my truck did. So when all my rear lights went hay wire I had to fix all the engineering:eek: Not too mention buy a new trailer plug for the hitch cause they cut it off to fit the flat bed.:mad2::mad2:

Glad you got it fixed. Not the same thing, but a long time ago I went to get a trailer hitch put on my S-10. The guys at U-Haul couldn't figure it out because the truck had a roll pan, not a rear bumper. I left there, went to a hitch place later in the day and had them tell me that the T-connector for the tail lights was unplugged. The U-Haul dumbasses left it like that and I drove around with no lights for a day without even knowing.

X2! But there has been a time or two when I was in a pinch and let someone else do it and then ended up doing it later anyways.:mad2: Plus you always find where previous owners "CUT" corners.

I know what your talking about, I have never had some one else do the work and have it turn out the way I would have done it and I don't mean it was better.
