Lug nuts

Im trying to find lug nuts like the oem style but longer then stock so they will work on my aluminum rims and be able to mount my stock gmc hub caps.

Im sure everyone knows what lug nuts im talking about, the ones used on steel rims with the threads on the top out side for the black plastic caps to screw on.

Anyone have any ideas on where to find longer lug nuts? Right now i have the closed end conical lug nuts and they wont allow me to use the stock hub caps.

Thanks

they actually made a couple of diff versions of the plastic lug nut and they have some length diffs. AFAIK only one size of steel lugnut

All you'll find in the aftermarket for the externally threaded nuts will be copies of stock. As ak diesel mentioned there are several varieties of the fake "lug" caps for them, though.

I discovered when using Astro van center caps on some squarebody Rally wheels, the typical 14mm caps wouldn't let me get more than about a turn tightening them, I was afraid they'd end up falling off. So instead I used the ones that have the 20mm shoulder on them, which were typically seen on the early GMT400 aluminum wheels - 89-90. LMC has them for a couple bucks each. Can be tough finding them used.
