so the low collant light has been on for a while and i dont know why? it dosen't run over 210 at any time and the coolant is not low. so any ideas to why its being the way it is:???:

The sensor could be out. It is located on the radiator. On my truck it is on the passenger side of the radiator about half way down.

If you're sure you aren't loosing coolant then most likely the sensor or bad wire connection on it. Pretty simple fix to replace the sensor.

Your sensor is shot, or you're using plain water instead of coolant mix.

The low coolant sensor is located in a cavity, in the front of the surge tank. Haven't succeed yet in finding a replacement one sold as is.

It seems you have no other choice than replacing the all surge tank itself to cure the problem...

The sensor is in the coolant tank, and just slides in I believe. Problem is though the float inside normally is what fails, and you have to replace teh whole tank to fix that. If you are sure it isn't low, unplug the sensor and see if the light goes out.

when my wire was unplugged from the surge tank, my light was on. plugged it back in, and the light went out.
