well what the title says i am looking to get a 2000 grizzly 600 and want to know a little about these quads

i have found they are 4x4 but the dont have a differential lock??

the quad has around 1500miles

has a snow plow , winch , big wheel kit the guy never put on

what is the price range would this quad be in??

o and what mods have you guys/gals done to make these run a little better and are they dependable

Alot of people run intake or exhaust systems. I've heard that intake systems help out with low end beans when you romp on it. I've also read that neither intakes or exhaust systems do anything for performance.

I wouldnt pay anything over $3000 for that. Even thats alot considering its 9 years old. What are they asking for it?

i am not sure on the price yet for the quad i gave him my number and said call me if you think of selling

9 years old thats what i am thinking i know i can get a new 500 with the same or more power with better suspension

Yeah but a 600 is alot of motor for 2000.

that is true i will have to ride it to see if i like it or not. i really want to get a way from our farm quads they are 2002 Polaris trail boss 325 the thing i hate no low end so it hard working them pulling the roller and sprayers and even hauling game out i really would enjoy low end heck i just put a round and go riding slow i and over logs so i have a feeling i would be pretty happy with the grizzly even though its 9 years old

I hear the grizzleys seem to hold up well. I'm a fan of Hondas myself but I did look at Yamaha's too.

Now a days with EFI, you really cant go wrong with any new quad. Any 500-800 is gonna have so much low end beans, it'll throw you off if you stab it...

true my bro has a 400ex great machine i have an old xl350 duel sport

any ways so the grizzly seems like it will do what i want any thanks for your help

but if any body has any thing else to say chime in thanks

My dad has a 660 Grizzly. Awesome quad. NADA book value says $2300 for average retail and $1800 for low retail on the 2000 Grizz. That's not taking the big tire kit or plow into consideration but that should give you an idea. Yamaha makes great quads, you won't be disappointed as long as you find one that has been taken care of.

Personally if I were you I'd look for a newer one (660). The newer style has better suspension (independent rear suspension), more power, lcd display, front locking diff, and isn't as bulky....basically it's more refined. But it all depends on how much you want to spend too.

If your going to be in the water alot id stay away from the belt driven 4wheelers imo.I like my new foreman but i do miss my old rancher.I had a rincon for about 2 months and couldnt stand it.I really hated the gears(had no low end)but that sumbeach would get it.

The belt drives are fine in the water, I put mine up to the bottom of the seat all the time and don't have issues. I hope you didn't get the 600 there not the best of machines pay a little more and get the 660 much beter machine I had both and hated the 600.
