My 245/75's are starting to wear thin, or I'm just getting tired of having the same tires for the past 40K miles lol. I am going with 285/75 Treadwright Gaurd Dogs (style not debatable lol) but I want a 16x8 alluminum wheel. My current wheels are pitting in the bead last time I had a tire patched so @290k I guess I can upgrade.

Found these http://stillwater.craigslist.org/pts/3794336372.html , They look alot like alcoas. Seeing how they already have a 33" tire on them I would think they might be wider than my stockers.

If any one has info on good looking wheel styles (not over the top) then I am all ears.

the link provided says ultra brand, which has very similar styling to alcoa, but they like cast, not forged, so an alcoa is still stronger, but the ultra is adequate. IMO the round hole alloy is a timeless pattern.

were the 6 hole chevy wheels from the square body 15 inch or 16 inch? they allways looked good too.

IMO, keep an eye out for some newer factory GM wheels. if you think there is a style or two you like, I can keep an eye out. maybe check out nex-tech (same classifieds the 1066 was on) they usually have tons of that stuff.

good luck!

I have a set of PYOs. I've stripped the clear coat and polished 3 of them. The 4th has it's clear coat intact. Also have the center caps.

I'm 8 lug so I doubt your pyo's will work. There are factory newer 6lugs but they arent 8" wide for a 285/75. Dont get me wrong, they will work until something better pops up but in the long run i would like the stability of a wider wheel.
