BRP Spyder, 2008, red with all the goodies but an exhaust. 1300 miles, mine for $13k. Rides very nice. Anyone have one?

Those look like fun, I saw one going down the road yesterday.

Of all things he was riding with a group of Harley's.

The only problem I've found or heard with them is you can't have "fun". It has a speed limiter set at like 110-120mph, you can't fish-tail, power brake, burnout, wheelie or anything of the sort or the computer will shut you down. Other than that they are fun to ride with a shit load of power. Took one around the block once (it wasn't mine so I didn't hammer on it) and it was a lot of fun to ride, but with the 'fun factor' restrictions, it wouldn't make me happy for too long.

And before anyone starts snivleing about 'safety', "the speed limit is only 70 anyways", "you shouldn't be doing that"....bla bla bla :rolleyes5:it's not that I would go out and do crazy things like that, it's the fact that if I would like to do that, I should be able to. I know the vehicle is capable of doing things, so that's what I would like to do. You know......like government regulations and stuff. :nono: Let me make my own decision, not you makeing my decisions for me. :mad2:

You can absolutely Power Brake & do a Burnout on them without the ECU Shutting it Down.

Maybe the one you were Riding had a Learner Key in it or something.

My friend was telling me about it and he's not a bs'er. He was jacking around with it and he said as soon as it got sideways, poof, it started to cut out. That stuff and the speed limiter is about the only thing that has shy'ed me away form the thing. Other than that, they are cool as hell and I want one......bad.

You can do alot but is does have built in safety stuff. I have no issue with that, I'm 44 and long past the need to act like a child ):h well most of the time. I love the ride, the bike is quick, and looks damn cool :) Been working on the dealer on price, looks like just over 12k and Its mine. Got the Friday after Thanksgiving off so going to ride it again weather permitting and then hope to get the deal done.

Well, The deal is done :) I now own a Spyder :) Dealer is storing it for the winter, whiich is a big plus for me, got a ton of stuff in the shed and out of space. The Wife and I put about 1 1/2 hours of ride time in today, even in 40 Deg weather it was not bad, her legs got a tad more wind then mine but its was a blast! She is now as ready to go as I have been, She already planing on me loading it in to the toyhauler for our RV trips.
I'll post up some pictures soon.

I can store it here for the winter ):h I promise I will only ride it here in the neighborhood, just to keep the fluids going till you get it back.......... :D

Congrats on the bike. A friend of mine just got divorced after being married 30 years. He bought one a few months ago and is having the time of his life hauling around honey's. Women really seem to dig em'.

That's why both my bikes have Solo seats on them, keeps me out of trouble with the wife:nonod:

Well, I picked up the Spyder today, 2 weeks early because its in the 60's here. I'm sure the weather will go cold just because of me bringing it home ):h Rode around tonight for an hour :):):):)

I was going to ask you if you got that puppy out yet. Hope it's a ball. I've been seeing more and more of those on the road.

The weather has been all over the board here lately, but I've got some good riding in. I've been about 1000 miles in the last month and expecting much more here shortly. :smile5:
