He's a dealer, but this truck is a private sell...and he's willing to lower the price
VIN: 1gbhk34f2pe141991

Any thoughts on a GVWR or mpg?

-Reason I'm asking, if you haven't noticed I have my truck in the classifieds. When I get a vehicle, my passion to work on it is usually equal or more than my passion to drive it. Well, not so anymore, haha. So...thinking of starting over with another vehicle, and if its a 1 ton and mechanical, I'm slightly interested in this truck. Seems to be in fair shape, but he's not willing to make any sort of trades (which I'd be losing money, so that's probably ok). Just thought I'd see what your thoughts were on it.

seems like a good price, that same truck around here would be worth 4000 dollars without the flatbed.....not worth 4000 of course but for sure worth 2500, I look at it like this, what could I part it out for, rear axle 300, front end parts 200, engine 500, tranny and t-case 500, hydroboost 100, wheels and tires 100, steering colum and other odds and ends 200, and 200 for the rest of the truck for scrap metal. so yea I would buy it if I had the money.

I'd fix your truck. Get rid of 'air' leaks and your stalling should go away. DB2 are just as big of a POS as the DS4. My DS4 starts better than the DB2. This truck has add in buckets and little else vs. your fully loaded truck.

I have spent up to a year tracking down single issues on my truck, hard starting due to sticking injectors. It was cheaper than a trade and Yes, I have more in them than they are worth. But I know em really well and am not afraid to DD any of them. I do like the 1993 for interior seats more than the 1995 and almost prefer the 1993 over the 2005.

Nothing wrong with buying this one and keeping your other truck. Drive the one that runs...

I'd buy it for a spare. The DB2 comes with a whole new bag of tricks and can be a pita to start if everything isnt working properly BUT they have fewer electrical grimlins and keep running despite a handfull of problems.

Looks like a farm or Gov truck with a worn out hack job interior, who knows what other issues are in it.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I have the phone number to contact him and he said he'd let go of it for 2000. He's in IL - west of Chicago if I remember correctly... I would buy it as a secondary vehicle, but I don't have any cash to buy a vehicle unless I sell one of my current vehicles.
