Lift pump jumper wire for trip?

One other thing, I guess - I have to make a trip today that will take me about 130 miles or so. Since my LP isn't working through the OPS, should I remove the fuel pump relay in the fuse box on the fenderwell and put in my jumper wire for the trip, just to reduce the load on the IP?
