Lift block or Add a Leaf

Id go with the leafs if you ever tow or haul anything heavy. My old 89 gasser with a 3 inch lift would brake lift blocks going over train tracks

x2 on avoiding lift blocks.

Add a leaves will stiffen up the ride a bit, though, so be aware of that. Some guys go with longer spring shackles to keep the ride closer to stock.

I have 1" rear lift blocks and wish I went with add a leaves. My truck is leveled and once I tow something the front end looks like it's ready for lift off.

Now I figured while I was doing the lift I'd replace the old shocks with new ones.. Do I need extended shocks with the torsion lift and add a leaf or can I use regular size??
Also What brand ? I was looking at the Bilstien 5100 but can't find a part number for my year and model only 99 +

Jared love the truck and the name  I sold a 05 2500HD "Gas":rolleyes5: for my 97 dually . It only had 40K but it was starting to rust out due to plowing in the noreast .
I loved and babied it .. sometimes I kind of miss it but I love my dually diesel

And my 11yr old has the same name spelled the same way .. Your OK in my book Buddy.....:cheers2:

I was thinking about lift blocks also. I just can't see them working good in a dually. I tow/haul with it and I'm debating the blocks myself. It does'nt have blocks now so why put them on to lift it?

Let us know what you decide.

I went with the torsion key and add a leaf combo.. I'm gonna replace the shocks also just don't know which ones . I sent a couple of PM and emails to Norcal but he hasn't responded ..

Haha, thanks man. My doors actually started rusting at the bottom seams but GM took care of it for me and hopefully it won't rust again so easy.
