Thank you in advance Ashton for any input/advice you may have for me. I had to retype the damned thing in Excel since I can't scan it. OAI has changed their little form they mail out since the last time I had one.
AC Delco/Donaldson Blue Air Filter, replaced halfway through that oil interval, stock air intake.
10,305 Miles on that oil.
Oil is Amsoil Premium Synthetic 5W-40 (DEO)
Oil Filter is AeO52
EDIT: 36,569 Miles on the truck. It had an early oil change when it had a couple thousand miles on it, then regular ones until ~16k miles, I put the DEO in it then w/AeO52, changed the filter at 5k on the oil, topped it off, changed the oil & filterl with 10k on the oil...the new oil that went in is what that test was for 10,305 miles later with a filter change halfway through and a top off. I guess I could break that down better...
0-16k: early LOF service with regular ones after, whatever oil the dealer uses, delco filters.
16k: first batch of DEO with AeO52
21k: Change AeO52, top off oil
26k: Change DEO & AeO52 (I might have an analysis of the oil I dropped here, I have to go look)
31k: Change AeO52, top off oil
36k: Change AeO52, take sample that runs out of filter block, not from filter, top off oil.
Changed the pattern at 36k, left the oil in that had 10k miles on it, wanted to see if it needed to be changed first. If I recall the analysis from the previous 10k miles of oil showed it was still good, that is the analysis I need to find.
Silicon and Aluminum together points my nose toward dirt ingestion. Check out your air filter, housing and piping to make sure it's all together correctly. Also, oil filler cap/breather, and valve covers could be low probability contributors for dirt (Si) in the oil.
Copper is really getting up there, no other real wear metals though, so I agree with them, no action required yet. You TBN is about half way down from 8.00.
All in all, it looks like it's holding up okay, a bypass filter setup would really help with the particulate problems. If you are interested in going that direction, let me know.
A little bird told me there may be some big news about new oils from Amsoil on or about April 1st for you guys with the 07+ DPFs. 3 times the manufacturers recommended drain interval and 2 different weights, 15w-40 and 5w-40. I'll keep everyone posted.
