Larger aftermarket fuel tanks?

Did that mod about 2 years ago. It's not hard and not to easy to do. I suggest having another person around to help. I have the 45 gallon tank. It's really nice to have on long trips. I can drive straight highway for about 600-700 miles without stopping.

The last time I ran my tank all the way down till the low fuel light I filled it up and still had apx. 10 gallons left in the tank. The only fix for this is to get EFI Live. Guy Trippin was the person that told me about this, but I am sure someone else out can do this also.

Sent you a PM cause the person I bought it from is not a Vendor here yet and this site was not started at the time of the purchase. There are a few Vendors here that do sell this tank.

I understand. I also see that the vendors or somebody besides me supports the operation of this site. I tried to donate but there is no method to do so.

I got your PM, thanks!

Barry, we have taken donations sporadically in the past but I'm gonna respectfully decline any more until we need it. It is a very generous offer though and we thank you for that.

Marauderer if you find Nor Cal Nick on here he did the Titan 52 gallon midship tank mod to his truck. The damn thing is massive

I know he had pictures of it... "over there" but I'm sure if you PM him a link to this thread he could post up some pictures of his tank. Assuming there not already in his photo album as is.

I put a 50 gal Trax II toolbox tank on mine.

So some food for thought:

It reads out gallons... factory 1/2 full gauge isn't $hit info for calculating if you can make it to the next cheap diesel stop. But knowing the number of gallons left and your current MPG makes planning fuel stops easier and can save you some cash. (if you use gasbuddy or make it to a major city vs. high price middle of nowhere fuel stop.) You could combine these systems. You may also have fuel used DIC that could help equal the trax II gallons readout.

The weight distribution is also better with a cross bed tank. you can have 1/2" side to side height difference from full to empty factory tank.
