Laptop Batteries

My wife's laptop is in need of a new battery. It is a Dell Inspiron 1720. As always Dell wants a ton for one. Are there any alternative places to get a new one? Thanks....

Bill I just bought one from Amazon for my Dell. I gave $40 for it, compared to Dell's $150. I will say this, this new one came with a extra "stand" that raises up the back of the computer. That's the only thing I don't like about it. My factory dell was flat.. Just pay attention how they look.

So far, the battery works great.

You can do a google search of that specific battery and get all sorts of places selling Batteries. Just make sure they are reputible.

I'd give this one a try...it's used but genuine Dell...
