Kojo Tune #'s

It will vary with each vehicle and the mods done. From what I have heard Kojo does good work.

Pay no attention to 40hp or 80hp claims.

150-200 is normal for a truck running stock turbo. Breaking 200 with the GM butt plug is tough and the automatics seem to be typically lower.

Before: My truck was rated at like 180hp stock (mechanical). With only a 1/4 turn up in fuel and 15psi, i hit the 203rwhp mark with a shitty GM-3. With electronic pump and a good tune and the newer GM turbo, it should put you somewhere in the 210-225rwhp range probably.

I made 330ft lbs with 1/4 turn on fuel, an AFE Stage II, and a 4in exhaust. Wastegate was wired shut. Motor had 255k miles on it at the time. Nothing impressive. With adding 2300psi Bosch injectors, an A-Team with blanket, and a BD Quick Spool Valve, I made 255rwhp and 430ft lbs. Although, with some tuning I could get it back up to the 275rwhp mark I was at. Be careful of back pressure. it kills horsepower haha

I read on the other forum that one guy got his kojo tuned ECM and they only set max boost for 10psi then defuel. I would think power is gonna be limited with only 10psi. These engines can handle more with the right turbo.

Who knows. I feel 15psi for any turbo is about perfect for the 6.5L but that is just be. I'm sure others are a little more conservative.

I told Walking J to have it max out at 15 psi. But do I still need a turbomaster to set the boost or can the ecm do that on its own?

X2 on the "ignore 40-80hp" claims. sadly I have the 80 chip in my dually and I am in need of more fuel. I am looking into the DIY tune my self.

Hey yall...does KOJO do custom tunes or have basic tunes already set up? I cant remember!

with a TM the ECM does not control the boost. if using a stock tune you need to kep the boost down or it will code. or try a boost fooler

I have a heath emax torque e prom as well as the 4" exhaust. Based on that I tightened the TM to the length recomended by HDP. I hear people talking about turning up the pump and adding boost. Can I do that?
