Missy here is snooping around for a clean sound tailgate for my 89 K5 Blazer.
Mine had a spare tire carrier mounted and I think the PO backed it into something.
I was trying to fix some water leaks and a rattle in the gate and once I got done replacing the missing screws on the inner access panel the window would not go up.
Further investigation revealed that the gate had been pushed in slightly by the lower tire carrier mounting foot and this has tweeked the inner beam that the window regulator bolts too just enough so the window hits the regulator and hangs up.
Its gonna take some work to fix the old gate. Doable but if Y'all has a gate that ya needs to find a home for I am all ears.
