Afton Mountain eh, boy I miss that drive I've been in Ms since 86 no mountains here, parents & siblings still in Tidewater, cousins and lots of other family in Roanoke area love the Blue Ridge in the fall .

Welcome to the site.

Pop over to the 6.2 section and folks there will fix you rite up, some sage advise in there about the 6.2 elder brother to the 6.5's I drive head gasket change is pretty straight forward, easier done out of truck than in it, but can be done in truck 1 time use TTY bolts used have to replace those, if it's in the budget ARP studs are better choice.

Once you visit a few times the site will be easier for you to navigate, if you need help figuring it out ask here guys will point you the right way, for now here is the 6.2 section link http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/forumdisplay.php?8-6.2-GM-Diesels
