Just got done with the Install. Took me about 30-45 Minutes.

New Banks Pipe went back in EASIER than the OEM one came Out, and it's Bigger too. Go Figure.

But yea, I Expected a lil bit of a Gain from putting this in, but I was way Wrong. This Pipe really does make a Big Difference. When I Floored it, I def. had to use more Neck Muscle to keep my Head Straight than I used to with the OEM Pipe on. Top End is Sickening now.

This Pipe is 100x better than the AFE one, for one Reason....the Turbo Connection. The AFE remains the 2.5" Diameter, then just Jumps right to 3". It does this so you can Re-use the OEM Coupler. The Banks Tube is 3" from End-to-End, and come with a New Coupler that is 2.5" on the Turbo End and 3" on the IC Tube end, but Tapers from 2.5" to 3" right at the Turbo Exit, so as soon as the Air is coming out of the Turbo, it's Expanding up to 3" and Flowing like mad.

Every Range of the Power Band is Improved with this Pipe.

Def. a "worth it" Mod.

Ordered it Direct from Banks.

Great.

Something else for me to buy.. :D

Not much to See, but here ya go:

K, so just got back from an EGT Test.

While Cruising, EGT's are Down atleast 50*-75*. On a Flat Road, Cruise Set at 35mph, my EGT's are Under 400*, around 380*.

WOT, EGT's are Down over 100*. I could get well over 1500* before with the OEM Pipe...now I don't see over 1468*.

That's great. My EGT's are pretty step sometimes..

How much are these tubes?

Thank you James. My roommate had an issue with his stock tube rubbing those big harness plugs on top of the engine and I was curious as to how the Banks tube looked.

Yep, mine was Rubbing too, but with the Banks, there's plenty of Room now, and no more Rubbing.

Or you can drill into the Banks pipe....

Knowing them, I'm surprised that they don't have a boost fitting already pre-installed.

does this also take care of the rub on the power steering lines at the bottom of that pipe? i havent had rub through yet, but there are indentations where it looks like it hits, but the pipe is sitting an inch to an inch-and-a half away from the lines

That's only an LB7 problem though I believe. James' is an LBZ.
