First, I'm not selling them or connected to them in any way. I just walked into the RV place today and saw one on the shelf.

It's made by a company called Fastway and the product is called Fastway® Flip™ Automatic Jack Foot.

Company propaganda:

Here's a pretty young lady trying to sell you one (voice is a bit annoying though):

I gotta say, this is one cool piece of kit!

I like that in drops 6 inches from the tongue in a second. Really cuts down on the jacking time.

The battery doesn't have to crank my power jack all the way down (or you won't have to crank as much) and it also gives my jack another 6 inches of height. That's great when your driveway or campsite isn't level. Saves me from stacking wood under the jack just to get the trailer level in my sloping driveway. I used to have to add 3 pieces of 2x4 just to give the jack enough reach to get the whole rig level but now it reaches with lots of room to spare.

It's also pretty cool how it pivots up and down on it's own!

It cost me 40 bucks for the whole shebang.

Well, it up to you whether or not you like it or go looking for one. But I think it's great.

:)

One of those, 'why didn't I think of that?' deals...

Question: Once extended downward, does the flip piece lock into place with the weight on it? Will it fold under if a trailer/camper gets bumped?

Yup, locks down. Weight of the trailer cams the bolt and the base of the jack rests on a platform inside the foot.

I would think if the trailer were to roll enough to fold the foot, it would crumple the stock jack shaft.

You always need to chock your trailer anyways. If it rolls, you're doing it wrong.....;)

Just watching the video I'd say that it locks in place and will not collapse if the trailer is bumped or moved. Watch the pivot pin as the jack post moves downward. The slot in the Fast Flip is angled in towards the front and as the post moves downward you can see the pivot pin moving down and in towards the front of the Fast Flip, pushing the post into solid vertical contact with the Fast Flip and appearing to lock it. This is just a guess, but I can see in my mind how it locks in place. Very ingenious!!
