Well it seems we have a few ip threads going and talk of leaking ip's so not to be out done I will jump on the bandwagon.

My 95 has been leaving diesel puddles for the past week or so and slightly hard starting for 3yrs 75k miles. The day finally came, ip is leaking like a sob.

5067 ip ORIGINAL 296k miles, proven by receipts from po who was a mechanic.

I have a rebuilt ip made for usld unused from a reputable guy or a 5068 CORE that I might exchange at the standyne shop for a rebuilt unit. The 5068 will require a new tune but so does the wh1c turbo so no biggie.

Any ip suggestions? It will get rebuilt stock injectors too.

run WVO in the summer and BioD in the winter, other than that I ain't got nothin, just a question, how come OK has higher pump prices than VA? last time I was out there I saw all those well pumps going. I was thinking next time I'm put there I'll bring my own fuel with me.

my mistake, just checked, pump prices are roughly the same

Does anybody have modified ds4 besides heath? I have never bought parts from him and don't plan on starting.

Does slim have anything?

Otherwise I'll get a 5068 and reflash. I will likely stick with buddy for free reflashing.

PM Slim, but, do you really need a modified DS4? I mean can your engine burn the extra fuel? A FTB and lift pump upgrade may do the job.

I would stick with the 5521 pump myself, and avoid the 5068. For one simple reason, say your stuck out in BFE and need one you have a better chance of finding a 5521 on the shelf than you do a 5068. The 5068 is only capable of about 3-4Mm3 of fuel more than a 5521, so no big gain there either. I know Slim had put together a hybrid DS4, but I don't know if he ever ran it or found a way to program the chip for the bigger plungers.

I understand your concern but I tend to keep/buy extra IP's according to which model I need, I also dont take this truck much further than 60miles from home anymore. I'd love to be more comfortable taking it on longer runs but at nearly 300K it needs alot of going through to get it fully reliable.

Engine runs great, tranny is OK but not trusted with much of a load (still original). The rear end has never been opened up and I bet its showing some wear. Most engine accessories are weak/failing (ALT agian, Vac Pump [reson for turbo upgrade], AC, wheel bearings, brakes, fuel and brake lines). I'm just trying to upgrade as I repair/replace.

The 5068 being hard to find isnt a big concern but duely noted. Like I said, I'll get a spare. 3-4mm3 is actually enough fuel that a 6.5er will argue amongst eachother if its possible lol.

A custom pump is probably more than I really need on this rig.
