I have 92 Jeep wrangler. It was given to me 3 years ago and I drive it in the summer topless cause it's fun. It's like a golf cart compare to my truck. It's at the point where it needs some work, floors are weak, frame needs help, and the list goes on. Time to drive into the ground or redo. (it's 1/2 way in the ground now)
I have an 1986 3/4 ton chevy in the backyard with a complete drivetrain from the tranny back. The rest of the truck is shot.
My thought is to strip the jeep to the frame, redo the frame, mount the chevy drivetrain to maybe a 350 and stick it in. I know it's not that easy. I have a fabrication shop so I'm not worried about that part of it.
Anyone here done anything like that? I'm looking for sugestion, ideas, or any info I can find.
My other idea is to put time into my 52 Power Wagon and get that going. This will be an on going project tho and the Jeep will be a quicker project.
