Spent all day working with my part time boss getting ready for the big storm that's been predicted. Last month we got 14.5" total, and this one is supposed to be bigger:eek:

The trucks and bobcats are fueled and I'm on call. Since the white International is down with a bad IP, I get to play with the Red International with the DT466.:D:D

Its gonna be a loooonnnggg night. So until then, entertain me lol

Yea, I'm getting the Shaft out here on the Island. They were Saying 7-10" for us out here.

I Woke Up this Morning...NOTHING. Not even a Dusting.

It just Started like an Hour or so ago, and there's maybe 1/4".

I'm PISSED.

I just got my commercial blower back (32")...so now I'm ready for the big stuff.
Nothing in our area though, but the next 6 weeks or so is when we get hit with the dumper.

Pictures!

Funny you mentioned that. At parts during the day I snapped a few pictures while time permitted to "share the wealth" so to speak. We certainly got about 20" of snow. Got the call at 3:30AM to scramble and didn't get home till 7:00pm. Only to find out that my street looked like it got plowed by some idiot.

I was also told(Yesterday) that despite how many hours I've clocked behind these Internationals this past month, I'm still a noobie. "Cause your not a veteran until you've mauled at least one persons mailbox."):h

Last month in the 14.5" blizzard I used the White International S1600. 6.9IDI, 4spd manual "crew Cab" Dump body. Then after that 23 hour marathon I went to fire it up in my driveway and the IP had died. So I got a "promotion" if you will:thumbsup: All the way to the top. International S1900. DT466, Allison Auto, two speed rear and about 2 tons of concrete in the dumb body for weight. This thing doesn't get stuck. AT ALL

Jackson. If you know where Six Flags Gay(oh sorry, I mean Great:rolleyes5:) Adventure is that's literally about 5 min from my house.

And yes, that 24mph sign is legit. IIRC, there's another one in Westlake that's 17mph. They only seem to show up in these 55+ communities. They get there streets plowed almost perfect AND there driveways cleaned with bobcats:eek: Lucky old folks.

Of course, If you had what I did, you could clear your own driveway in approximately 11 seconds front to end.):h

24 and 17mph... WTF?

8-10" and high winds predicted for here through Wed AM. I'd just as soon it didn't. I hate the drive on I 80 for 25 of my 60 mi one way in bad weather. The rest is all rural highways with little traffic. That part I don't mind at all.

I know right? It confused the hell out of me when I first saw them. There a bit distracting. First time I saw that sign was at the front gate of the old person community I was plowing. Almost took out the gate with plow since even if you ARE paying attention there is only about 4" of clearance one either side with that Red International.

We just survived round 2 of the blizzard on the east coast. I wasn't able to plow as I was down sick like a dog, but it might have been a good thing as my entire development lost power last night into this morning. Oh wait. My mistake, I mean EVERYBODY ELSE had no power. I love being an electrician:D:D:D
