hi guys i have been under the radar for a bit. my 94 6.5t crew cab dually lost an oil line back in february motor is knocking, i am finally getting close to tearing into it, is there anything i need to look for rite away before i waste alot of time and money? this will be my first look inside a diesel so im just curious. my hopes are to drop the pan and just put in rod bearings and oil pump. i cant find an engine around here in my price range. any input would be greatly appriciated. thank you in advance.
 
I'd start looking for a 6.2 . More than just the rods didn't have oil.
