Finally got my new winter patrol vehicle. SkiDoo Summit 146 600HO E-Tech. Unfortunately snow conditions kinda suck now. I've only put about 15 miles on it, but definitely am impressed so far. Sure beats the '00 Polaris 500 that it replaced.

Even though I'm not personally a Doo fan that is a great looking machine. Even AC is now changing over to that aggressive look. Good luck with it and pray for snow.

Extremely nice trouttrooper, where do you carry the poachers):h. My dad was a federal game warden for about 20 years down here in SW Louisiana, he loved it and hated to retire.

hunters, trappers, registrations.

This is the second Skidoo I've had. The other was an '05 Renegade in my old patrol area. The biggest thing I looked for back then, and now, is comfort. Some of my patrols can end up being 100 miles in a day. My biggest complaint on other machines I've used is I feel so hunched over with my knees up in my chin. After a long day my back and shoulders just kill me. Sitting on the Skidoo is almost like sitting on a motorcycle. More of an upright posture, but not top heavy to compromise handling in the mountains either.

Yamaha was a close second in my choices with their similar sitting posture, but the Skidoo was 100 lbs lighter for the same class machine and the Yamaha felt "tippy".

I'm not very brand loyal when it comes to snowmobiles, but lately Skidoo seems to be jumping ahead in technology advancements.

Not like I can ever afford one for myself.

that thing is nice looking. so do you get cool flashy lights and sirens on it.

Suppose to get 21mpg and burn almost no oil. Haven't put enough miles on to calculate anything. I was going to buy a gallon of oil when I got it but the dealership told me I'd never use up what's in the machine this year.

That is one mean lookin' sled. Congratulations on being able to get a new sled like that and not have to pay for it. ):h

I haven't seen a snowmobile that burns no oil.

600HO E-Tech, eh??? --That must be the same technology they use in the Evinrude outboard motors. Sounds SWEEEEET ! ! !

Keep us posted on your experience with it. :smile5:
