Is this what ULSD is supposed to look like?

That aint even close to what mine looks like. Yours looks to have to much green in it. I would reccomend giving it a good dose of ALGEA killer(they sell it in truck stops specifically for killing algae in diesel fuel), and be prepared to change some filters here soon.

Dosent look to far off if you ask me...Alot of times the container, sunlight, etc can cause the color to apear different.

Mine has that greenish/blueish tint to it, but seems more clear or transparent than what was in the bottle. Maybe it was just a bad photo.

The green tint is exactly how it looks coming of the ULSD diesel unit in the refinery. The clear #2 ULSD is the winter blend that contains more #1 (kersone/jet) product in the blend to lower the pour point. The high sulfur off road #2 has red dye added to it.

Here is a look at some diesel I dumped out of my filter during a change this morning. One has a white behind the sample. The fuel was purchased from a BP station.

I get LSD at a Quicktrip here in town; It isn't red dyed. ULSD just about everywhere else.

Algae is brown or yellowish.

I've seen it green as well. I got a tractor going for a friend awhile back, and the inside of the tank looked like the green lagoon when I opened the cap on it. Our diesel down here in FL is almost clear with only a slight brownish and green tint to it. Nothing like the OP's picture shows.
