Hi Guys, still having trouble with power loss issues with my 97 K3500 dually, truck starts and runs fine for up to 5 miles then gives a little cough and loses power,SES light comes on. If I stop then restart the SES light stays on but problem eases for a mile or 2 then returns. Replaced fuel, air and oil filters about 2 months ago. Recently fitted pmdcable.com new pmd, extension cable and heat sink. Had fault codes read and only code stored was P0251 Injection Pump Cam System. Before code reading I had been wondering about uprating lift pump with a walbro and prefilter but don't want to waste money on new LP if the IP is the problem!
TIA
Mike Simpson

I've got the pick up out of the tank and the filter sock looks pretty filthy, what do you guys use to clean it, or should I just replace it?

replace it. Carefully inspect the tube as well. They tend to deteriorate where it bend into the mounting plate. I usually fill a tub with water, plug one end of the pu tube and put shop air in the other and submerge it to look for leaks. It's a common fail point.
