what you guys think

You don't get 100% positive feedback if you don't deliver. I would definitly take a chance on it.If a seller gets bad feedback on e-bay now they are banned from selling for 60 or 90 days the 1st time it happens. Scammers don't last long on e-bay any more.

I would also talk to Tim at Accurate Diesel. He doesn't have the equipment to flow test a DS4 but I have been in his shop and seen his equipment for a DB2... he is a great guy and knows his stuff about fuel injection ...... particularly IDI diesels.... he is also on Ebay.

I ordered a set rebuilt injectors from this guy. His shop is named Badger Diesel and is located in Bristol, WI. He only uses Bosch Nozzles and he was waiting for a new batch to come in. Will not sell the Chinese return lines as he said they dry out and crack. $225 for a set of 8, plus $70 core charge. I had two complete sets of injectors and he paid $5 apiece for the second set. He did ask me about the barely used second set which were from Pensacola Diesel. Had a receipt and they were purchased for $239 new, but 4 of them leaked around the side of the nozzle. He still paid $5 for them. So my bill ended up $185 including shipping and he threw in the set of clampless return lines. The injectors come with the copper washers on them. Although I haven't received the injectors, I have confidence in this guy.

ya me to i have 3 sets of bosch inj and he offered me the same deal and im thinking i may sell one set to him but i deff want to get a set rebuilt to have as spares.
im also hopin that he will throw in the install kit sence im ganna have him rebuild my IP and my inj. i am going to place my order this week i hope and send my ip to him i want to have mine rebuilt because i have the updated head that is supposed to get rid of the hot starting issues that these pumps where reported to have.

Invite him over to the site please.

Yep - if he's a good rebuilder, we'd like to get him onboard as a sponsor; this is the most knowledgable 6.5 place around, with some fantastic members. He's looking for customers, we're looking for good service. Sounds like a win-win.

ill mention something to him when i call him this week unless you want to do it BIG T

Go ahead and reel him in. I've got a full plate at work this week. I'll touch back when I get the injectors which sounds like the following week.

well i got my IP and injectors back today from Badger Diesel. Every thing looks good to me. wish the motor was together so i could put it on just though i would post a couple pics. He cleand the Ip up real nice it was no where near that shiny when i sent it to him):h

he is planning on it he has just been very busy. i should mention that he also bought an extra set of bosch inj i had as cores for $5 apiece and ebay charged me $5 shipping for the install kit which it shouldnt have and he reimbused me for that as well. aslo when i sent it to him the idle adjust screw was missing as was one of the little screws that holds the plate on the side (i lost that one the idle screw was missing when i took the ip off) he replaced both of them. he seems like a really good guy to work with. im glad i took the chance on using him. all the work that he did would have been another $200 at least had i had it done locally.

Sounds like a stand up guy so far. Crossing fingers for you ( and us) Stand up types are getting very hard to find these days. But it seems they all end up at the same place sooner or later>the truck stop...........

Not to bash any one,but how anyone can rebuild an DS4 for only $295 is beyond me, just the labor wont even cover it,add a $100.+ 0 ring and seals/brgs kit. Never mind any other parts needed.

I think thats DB2's only.

the DS4 is $440. and when i asked him how he can do it for less than others he said that he only replaces parts that are worn out and the "one time use" parts.

So does any other rebuilder then, just fix whats broke and shine it up.
IMO i have to conclude that there is on the average actually very little to go wrong in these DB2 or DB4 pumps.
mebby just a popped/leak 0 ring in most cases.
