Just wondering if anyone on the board knows of a place to buy a
pump in Canada. I do need one and would like to save some money
as most all here are 1500 ish. I do live about 2 hours from Havre MT
and it's no big deal to run there and pick one up. I have seen them on
eBay for 800 ish and was wondering if any of the board sponsors are
shipping to Canada and if any Canadian members had any feedback.

Thanks

If you're in the 'Hat stop off at Tilley and see Lyndon at Wester's Garage. Tell him we sent you and he'll probably give you a break. His are listed at $1300 (new); you can get a new one from Bud Gomer in Great Falls for $1125, or take your chances on ebay or with shipping by UPS.

For what it's worth, rebuilt ones run around 1300 in Alberta. Get a new one if you can.

Stop and see Lyndon; he'll help you out.

Done!! Thanks. I will stop on Wednesday. I usually
stop at Dale Flatla's Mopar farm. It's right around
the corner. I have the Chev dealer in Medicine Hat
talker into $700 for the install as well.

LOL... Dale is a good guy, too, but he wouldn't know a 6.5TD if it drove over him :D The good part is, he either has every part in the world, or can find it.

You might want to re-think the install; Lyndon or his brother are probably who you want installing the IP on yours. Ask what they want to do it and set it up for ya.

Say hi for me.

I will. I'll see how much to do the install. I had no idea that they did work on diesels. They sponsored a drag race last year and I
got a shirt out of the deal. Lol. That's the most I ever made drag racing!!

Welcome to The Truck Stop frozennorth! As you can see, it's a small world when you know the guys from our little family here.

No doubt about that!!!
I was stationed in Islamabad looking for bad guys in the hills with the UN in the late 80's.
I'm having a cold drink in the Canadian embassy and in walks a guy I went to school with!!!
He was there with the oil patch and I was flying with the UN. We shat and laughed!!

Small world indeed!!!

Too bad you don't live closer to the USA border. I use a postal outlet just across the line and cross over to pick stuff up. Saves on duty, taxes and BROKErage. Ed

LOL @ Ed... do you use the same one Garth uses? Like 6 blocks from the border?

When I was young, I used to drive to Great Falls for beer, but I'm too lazy for that, these days. How come UPS charges so damn much to cross the border, anyway? USPS is a flat fee, and it has nothing to do with taxes.

I believe Garth lives out in the valley so probably uses one in Sumas, I use http://www.hagensofblaine.com/receive-with-us.php They only charge me 2.50 for each parcel under 44 pounds. really can't beat it as I looked into fees from all of the postal outlets in and around Blaine. I don't know why UPS or others charge so much for brokerage but assume everyone takes a chunk and that chunk is value based. More valuable items require more valuable brokerage fees. And if you choose not to pay they take the parcel with them. What UPS doesn't or won't tell you is you can do your own brokerage but get the forms filled in right. I just find it easier and less time consuming to cross the border. Besides milk at 2.99 a gallon is hard to pass up let alone cheese and Diesel, well every 5th tank is a freebie compared to the cost of a tankful here. I know for the mirrors I plan on installing on my truck the seller uses UPS and will ship to Canada for 100.00 or within the continental USA for free They also say in their Ebay listing that there are no other fees payable, I assume you prepay the brokerage. so when I buy them it's going to Hagens and odds are there will be no duty. Shhhh ... don't want to tell our Yankee neighbors that government entities are less crooked than private sector companies...

:D

LOL ... the whole UPS thing has always pissed me off...

What?!! You mean Big O's government is crooked? No way!!

GRRRRR, Oh how I wish it wasn't true. Not really caring about Bog O. Be real glad when he's gone. He's a worthless, impotent piece of------ well you get how I feel.

The folks in the US should feel really good about paying Obamas pension and security for life after he leaves, and he didnt have to do anything to earn it.
At least from the perspective from here,it doesnt seem like he has done anything besides bring troops back from Baghdad.

And yes for cross boarder shipping UPS are thieves and rapists!
Often the brokerage fees are more than the product coming across.
