List and describe any other factors which are not addressed in this checklist. We can’t see, hear, smell, or touch your truck, so the more descriptive information you can give, the more likely it is that somebody can assist you.

I've had the truck for a less than a year, the guy I bought it from used it to tow his 5th wheel with it. interior is immaculate. It's had a lot of miles put on it but i've tried to be pretty easy on it. haven't towed with it yet, not even any heavy loads(over about 500 pounds in the bed).

this started last week, it just died. thought my fuel gauge was malfunctioning, and put more fuel in it, but that wasn't it.

ended up pulling th Fuel filter and replacing it, it ran really well for a day and then stalled again. Put a bottle of SeaFoam in it Just In Case, but it died the next day again. now it does it all the time, but intermittently. I *think* its the IP but maybe it's just the PMD? I don't have access to a code reader, does anyone have a different idea, or do you agree that it is probably the IP or PMD?

thanks in advance,
Perry

Your PMD is still on stock location.

Rather then IP, I will vote for the PMD. More usually, when IP is culprit, you don't restart.

You're allowed to restart after she randomly stalls, so it acts like a PMD failure for me.

That being said, do you have you ligths on at the cluster instrument when stalling or not ? The ignition switch may cause stalling too.

Welcome cherry poster count of 1 post :D, wish your 1st post wasn't about an issue you are having, but I'll echo rest of the crew, PMD is suspect., lets do free stuff while we are at it gnds good place to start, which is a good periodic maint. practice anyway.

thanks, it looks like I'll be looking to get a PMD to remote mount, I haven't had any problems with the lights.

Since there is fuel from the t-valve. It is probably the PMD.

Yep, seems to be getting plenty of fuel when I turn the key on

Thanks for the advice, I may buy an 80's dodge on propane for $600 to drive so I can park my truck longer and fix it right as well as catch up on maintenance. It also needs upper Ball joints and the passenger door handle fixed. Nothing major, but stuff I should do while it's down.

I'll go back to lurking for awhile and see what else I can find to do :D

BTW: thanks for all the info on the sight as well. I'm learning quite a bit about my truck.

It won't cause stalling and I know you live in Texas but you should probably look into the glow system too since you don't get a wait to start.
