sorry to keep bothering with questions, but the '95, now after driving for a week, runs great. at slow speeds and ~17-1800 RPM, he SES light comes on. give it throttle or let off, it goes away. 60+ mph its just fine. also, if you are running it on cruise, and it kicks off, the next time you try to go anywhere its in limp mode. this also happens with the truck not shutting off. could the ECM be causing this? the PO said the truck was doing this, he said it was running 3500 rpm at 55 mph :eek::eek::eek: no wonder he blew it up!

I currently just started having the intermittent SES light issue about a month ago. It started when the temperature started to drop for the winter. Started right before i noticed my OPS had crapped out and my LP wasnt running, but after the recent FRC-10 swap it stopped for about a week. Unfortunately it came back, so far is only happening until my truck gets up to Temp and when it comes on if i let off or accelerate it goes away and i have no noticeable loss of power but my cruise control will kick off. im going to hook up my extra PMD to see if that fixes it but i will be pulling the codes later today. Other than that my truck runs like a beast with no issues especially with my new Heath EProm.

Illville I moved your posts to their own thread it is easier to track a problem in it's own thread, once you find the codes post them your description is too broad to do much more than throw out a bunch of guesses.

OK Thanks, just got the code and unfortunately its 36. I also went to swap out my PMD with my extra but come to find out my extra is bad lol.
The good news for the day is that with the warm weather we are having my truck has not thrown a code today at all and still runs like a champ.

DTC 36 - Injection Pulse Width Error (Time Long)

try adding a quart of nd30wt or 2 stroke oil to the fuel. if it helps it's probably just buying you time until you need a new IP. Should be used every fill up to lube the IP

Thanks, i always use additive but i have never used the 2 stroke which i did add along with power services today at fill up. So far with the warmer weather the last couple of days the code has not shown up again but well see what happens as the temperature is scheduled to drop into the upper 30's by friday. I am also going to pick up a spare PMD just to rule that out since the one currently installed was a used Ebay unit i bought a few years ago.
