anyone know a good place to buy new bosch injectors? Heath diesel has them for a little under 600 bucks and i cant find any places selling them cheaper

After getting "good deals" at a couple of places I ended up buying from Heath Diesel. Yeah, the price is high but if I had started there I wouldn't have spent that additional 8-9 hundred bucks on the 'deals.'
First set were from SS Diesel, HO Marine Delphi units. Lasted about a two years but I was getting a lot of white smoke and on test review the spray pattern was poor.
Second set were rebuilt bosch units that had suspect nozzles. Heath and I pulled a couple apart and compared them to what he knew to be genuine rebuilt Bosch units. Markings on the nozzles were completely different, hence, suspect. After 5000 miles they weren't popping even nor were the spray patterns consistent. I'm not popping the the vendor as he wasn't the one rebuilding them.

Lesson, If the price is too good to be true.... As was mentioned by someone else on another thread, with Heath, you may pay more but his customer service is top of the line.

I understand Rock Auto has them for a good price and they are supposed to be Bosch Originals. Sometimes there is a DTR discount code but I haven't seen it posted in a while.

set of "moneyslave" injectors here.

New Bosch units.

Military surplus, still had the Nato stock numbers on the original Bosch boxes.

"India" on the side instead of "GER" but the right part numbers otherwise. Some think the GER/INDIA is a big difference. Meh, whatever.

Still running fine and I put them in this summer past. Pop tested them myself, all pretty much equal pops. Was around 2000-2100 PSI IIRC.....

Great seller, great price.

He even followed up with a phone call to make sure I got them when the post was late.

Highly recommended.

I bought my set of new Bosch injectors from Advance Auto, they got the price pretty close to Rock Auto's. I'm a commercial customer there, so that may have helped. They were India injectors, but new Bosch nonetheless. Worked great so far, but didn't clean up the white smoke puff at startup like I thought they would. My stockers with 153k didn't seem bad, I mainly changed them for peace of mind.

I was messing with the truck today and i think my problem is more than needing new injectors... i tried to start the truck and heard a really weird sound coming from the motor. it sounded almost like something loose in the motor making a clanking sound and it wouldnt start

Just read your other post and you said Blue smoke.

My guess based on that and noise is that you have dropped a piston, if it were a hung up injector dumping then you'd see more of a black rather than blue.

If it were me and you really are seeing blue and getting clanking/knocking noise then a compression test would be a prudent tell tale test.
You did not whilst you had it running pull the dipstick and check for smoke/back pressure did you?

Cheers
Nobby
