Injector leaking after faulty FPR wiring

I had my FPR wiring disconnect on me and we let the truck run for less than 5 minutes and we noticed a fuel leak on the right side of the engine. Could the engine have filled up with fuel or could it just be blown injector seals? Any help is appreciated tia

No. Check the oil level if you suspect something.

Simply find where the leak is coming from.

Warning high pressure diesel leaking (fine high pressure spray) will puncture your skin and you can loose your hand or die from the injury. Yes it's serious and dangerous. Use cardboard or a broom handle to track down leaks. Only have your hands around it with the engine off. If it's out of your experience hire the experience of a diesel shop.

That fuel escaping the common fuel rail is under 20,000 pounds of pressure, sometimes more.
A leak that has some great atomization, You cant see. Pass a hand, face or any other body component past that leak, cuts quicker and deeper than a knife.
My son, works in a steam generator plant.
They have rags and boards. Of they suspect a steam leak, they wrap a rag around the board and pass that through the suspected leak.
He said this procedure has saved His hand before.
 
Could be a return line leak. The return lines are small rubber hoses with plastic fittings that push into the top of the injectors. IOW, not designed to handle any significant pressure or volume. If the injectors were returning a large amount of fuel, as yours were, the returns line(s) may have failed. I would clean the area with brake cleaner and compressed air, then run the engine while watching the top of the injectors for leaks.

Does the Duramax use a return line ? From each injector ?
I thought the return would be through the head.
Not really an individual injector return system is there ?

You're probably thinking of the LB7. They used a metal return line and had a passage through the head. The LLY and newer engines have rubber lines. Each bank of injectors is teed together. See the image below.
