I have checked this out and it's legitimate. It's also done using failed Fed-Ex delivery:

COMPUTER VIRUS WARNING

The newest virus circulating is the "UPS Delivery Failure". You will receive an email from UPS Packet Service along with a packet number. NOTE: The word packet is mis-spelled on this line. It will say that they were un-able to deliver a package sent to you on such and such a date. It then asks you to print out the invoice copy attached. DON'T TRY TO PRINT THIS. IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS! Pass this warning on to all your PC operators at work and home. This virus has caused Millions of dollars in damage in the past few days.

thanks for the heads up i would have tried to open and print it.

yeah i've gotten that one a couple times...... it sucks that some people have nothing better to do than try to **** with other peoples things and create more problems in a country that has enough shit to deal with right now......

This came out like a month ago. My company saw at least a dozen instances when it first came out. It's not really so much a virus as some really crappy malware. MalwareBytes does a really good job at getting rid of it if you get it. One thing to note is it'll say UPS delivery failure, etc, but the tracking number isn't in the proper 1Z.... format.
