My '84 Blazer 6.2 diesel.
Yesterday when I got in, nothing. Turn to first click, the buzzer buzzed, next click buzzer stopped, nothing, third (start) nothing. Off, & on again, nothing. Well, a few times, it buzzed on the first position, but that was it. nothing.
Batteries fairly new, 8 months old.
This has happened 3 or 4 times in the last 10 years, usually turning the key on & off a dozen or three times it allus started. Not today. I know the ign. switch is 'buried' & reading the shop manual looks like a pita to even get at. There must be some sort of flex linkage from key to switch, (tilting steering wheel), am I gonna have to drop the column for this??
Anybody else have this kind of problem??
Any advice or suggestions??
I have an old Blazer gasser parts car (practice car!), ('84 also) I made a puller & got the steering wheel off, as far as I got as we've got a heat wave here right now,& I'm retired so no big push.
Prolly left out pertinent info, I'm good at that, so info, or ask, , , ,
