I wonder if its possible to start a tread, a sticky maybe, where you guys could make a list over interchangeable parts. In our Norwegian forum and even here I see questions like " can I use 6.5 heads on a 6.2" or "can I use a -94 trans in a -96" or "will a 6.2 crank fit in a 6.5" and so on. I know it will be a long and complicated list, but.... What you guys think? No doubt, you have the knowledge.

Since this is a member supported forum it is uo to members to contribute. If you have the computer skills to format into a very user friendly thread it's up to you. I would also like to see such a thing but I lack the skills and knowelage to do such at this time. I don't even know how to type. I have managed to get a bit of a start on a bolt size and length sheet. I just need to have a metric ruler handy the next time I tear a engine apart. This place is what we, the members, make it.

I agree with you, I would love to make this thing. But there are three things that I dont have:
- computerskills
- enough knowledge about our trucks
- englishskills/measures ( Iam a metric kinda guy):smile5:

Its mostly all metric on these trucks anyway,so you'r good there.

You don't really need to know everything about the 6.5 and 6.2 engines. The members can supply that. Not much measuring involved either. Mostly organizing and format. Rock auto's web site is a fantastic way to check interchangability. Not really all that many things from a 91 6.2 to a 99 6.5 that don't directly interchange. More of a : if you are going from this year to that year thing. Like if you are going to put a 99 6.5 where a 91 6.2 was you have to change this. It would be very difficult to write to make easy to use without having to read from begining to end. It could get quite lengthy that way too since you can put a 82 6.2 where a 99 6.5 is by exchanging the right parts. A hollander book could be helpful also. It's supposed to be the interchange bible.
