I'm tired of these local shop guys who THINK they know the 6.5 but really don't. What I want to find are some friends who LOVE their 6.5's, who would enjoy helping each other out over some beers and wrenches.
I try to do as much as I can myself, and with the great help of you guys here I've been able to do quite a lot! Thank you....But as much help as you guys are, nothing beats having someone physically look, smell and hear a 6.5 in person, and giving their opinion. I'm getting older, my time scarce and my money thin. I think I might be coming up to some big maintenance items soon, and before I potentially waste a bunch of time and money, I'd like to find some knowledgeable folk who might be able to help me.
At the very least I'm hoping someone can donate an hour or two to give me a once over(the truck that is!). I'll bring the beers obviously.
But ultimately I'm looking for some new friends who enjoy talking about the 6.5 and helping eachother out whenever they can. Never rebuilt an engine before, let alone a diesel, but having some good friends who would enjoy it as much as I would, would be awesome.
I thought I remember a guy here named Eddzed, whose van burnt down and then he went Cummins and disappeared. Think he was in Maple Ridge?
Anyways, if anyone is within a 2hr drive, or knows of anyone, please let me know. I'm in Delta
