Ok folks, I finally dropped the rebuild in my 98 [bought as is 2 yrs ago with blown mill and no batteries] I got it going, runs fine no prob there.
But, here are my gremlins.

1) I put a high idle switch in [pin B8 as per Kennedy] It dont work, there is power up to the pin.

2) I found out,the cruise dont work. fuses OK, brake switch OK.

3) The power door locks dont work properly. Either door button will lock dr side door only, neither button will unlock any door. I had to replace pass side lock motor, as the original had burned out. I also replaced a believed to be door lock relay [only one i could find in that location]behind he glove compartment with no change. Alldata showed a diff pic for the doorlock relay[1 row of pins] versus 1 row of 2 and 3 pins each on the one i replaced.Fuses are OK.

4) the beeper is on continiously, even with running engine[I pulled the module out to get rid of the whine but it should not do that]

There also happens to be a remote start on the truck, but there's no control button with it. There are 2 loose wires in the engine bay,1 was spliced in the alt wiring[I left it off], second one is a mistery to where it goes[has female spade on it]There is an female spade spliced in a glowplug wire, dont look like a match to me either!
The passlock module is wired in with the remote start circuit[prob normal]
No DTC is present or impending

My Question, could the remote start has anything to do with any or all above symptoms? Or are they seperate issues.

Your high idle doesn't work because you need to GROUND b8, not supply 12v.
I don't know about the other issues, but I do know that a remote start can make the door locks act wacky.

OK, got high idle working now.I thought hook up was same as 95, just diff pin connection for 96 and up

now what about the other problems?
