Hey guys,

We are getting ready to head up to the Idaho farm to do some corn, and I needed to take the IP back to the guy I got the burb from (boiseburb on dieselplace) so I pulled the pump today. The IP and injectors was the main reason for him buying the burb in the first place, as it was said by PO that they were very recent. Boiseburb has a 1995 K2500 burb.

He ended up getting the injectors pulled, and tried getting the ip pulled, but it was late last fall, cold, and it was on a borrowed trailer, so he brought it to the idaho farm and said to get the IP off when you have the chance. we hauled it to KS this spring. I finally got it pulled, and low and behold it is a 5068 pump.
so, basically, the question is: will this pump work on his 95 burb, or do I need to try and buy it off of him? otherwise, unless I find another, I am stuck with switching proms, correct? can he switch proms as well?

here is his sig on the other forum: 1996 K2500 Suburban 6.5 "F" VIN; license PMD, 3" down and straight pipes, super fuel filter, 190 AC thermostats, duramax fan blade and adjusted fan clutch, Heath TM and "econo"/tow-safe PMD burn, 212 Hp/385 ft-lb at rear tires, 4.11s, 190k

so the econo/tow safe is surely a custom prom that he probably wont want to get rid of, correct?

any input on the subject appreciated, thanks!

The 5068 only came with the early 1994 F series, so no, it won't work with his custom program.

He will need to go back to whomever burned his ECM and get a different program for it.

this is still a blue tag pump, so does that mean it was brand new, rather than re-man?

what would a good value be on this pump? it came on a locked up motor, but its 99 percent for certain that it is in excellent shape.

dad took the call from him when I was out in the yard, and he said that it wouldnt work for him, so its for sale.

how much should I offer for this pump?

Look on ebay and see what core charges are, unless it has a warranty that's all it's worth in my opinion. It's from a non running engine so condition can't be verified.
