Going to try to go with LED bulbs and see if they really do last "forever"... I've replaced everything but my headlights with LED bulbs. Now I've got hyperblinking. I know that it's possible, and recommended to put in resistors, but what I'm wondering is what size, and how many? Do I need to put a resister at each light? Is it possible to just replace the relay? Does it hurt anything to let it hyperblink? (Yes it is a little annoying, but when I was pulling some people out along the interstate last night, I was kind of glad that my hazard lights were hyper-blinking, haha.

Any educated guesses, or preferably educated experience is helpful. I've found some information googling it, but it's so spotty that I'm hoping to get a more focused answer here.

Thanks!

But the hyper blinking won't hurt the truck circuitry will it? I don't see why it would, but I don't know. And I've heard people say that when I brake, my brake lights don't stay on together, which I find weird, but as long as they get the point that I'm braking...

Make sure and check your LED's. The set I ordered off of Ebay had one light wired backwards. They had the resistors built into them, but they were wired to the running light side. I found out about it when one of them almost caught fire from the resistor getting hot and the plastic started melting. Pulled them all apart and removed the resistors, made sure they were wired correctly, and then used an LED flasher. The actual lights were of good quality, but the QC on them sucked.

I bought these, on a whim, from autozone and oreilly's. I doubt they had resisters built in, but I'll check if y'all really think so. The bases didn't look any different than the bulbs I pulled out.

If it was just replacement bulbs, then no worries. I put in replacement light assemblies in mine instead of just replacement bulbs.

Where is the module located and is there an easy way of getting to to if it's behind the driver's side fuse panel. (Googled the location and found an 05 half ton's location-heard it was a pita to get to)

Take off the Dash Trim Piece (around Face of Dash (Set E-Brake, put Gear Selector all the way down, Tilt Wheel all the way Down)), Unscrew the Panel in front of your Knees (below Steering Wheel), and the Flasher is to the far Left, Beside the Fuse Box.

I'm trying to post pictures but it's not working. I got it switched and it works great! It's $75 and autozone and $65 at napa.

You can buy resistors at your local auto part store and install them. This will take care of the fast blinking.

That's not the Correct or Safe way to do it. When you have the Option, ALWAYS replace the Flasher with the Correct one for LED's, even if it costs more.

Didn't realize that the resistors is not the correct way, I did it to my truck and it has worked fine. I'll have to look into the flasher relay.

The Resistors that you Wire in, get Hot, sometimes hot enough to Melt whatever they are Touching. They should ALWAYS be attached to a Heat Sink that gets PLENTY of Air Flow, isn't too Close to anything and that can be Bolted Down.

Yep, my marker lights came with resistors in them and one side was wired wrong. Dam near caught my BURB on fire when the plastic housing started smoking. Fortunately it did it while I was aiming my headlights and caught it right away to shut them off. I had to open them up and remove the resistors from them and now one of them is melted in the back.
