I think this how the 6.2l shortblock with 6.5l heads & injectors are nicknammed :rolleyes5:

I was wondering you I can run the 6.2l, with stock 6.2l heads & injectors + a DS4 IP and turbo it, as long as I install a timing set with reluctor and with the TC cover of a 6.5l?

Would 6.2l injectors handle fuel flow from a DS4?

Is it possible to re-thread the 6.2l head so as to install a set of 6.5l injectors?

IIRC there was only one or 2 yrs of the 6.2 heads that had the coarse threads. the 6.5 injs are longer and IIRC the 6.2 injs are at diff angles. I would think the 6.2 injs would flow the same they use the same nozzles

Knowing the year and vehicle the 6.2 is from would help. As stated there are injector/head differences through the years. Even that is not a show stopper as I run a complete 'red' '82 6.2 with all my 93 6.5 stuff bolted to it.

Instead of rethreading the heads, maybe machining an adapter piece goes into the head and the injector screws in it? Of course then it's longer that might interfere with your exhaust, And the injector spray is a little further away from the precup. Maybe a good thing, Because you could have more room for atomization? Or maybe I hit my head a little harder than I thought I did today...
