Do the 6.2 hummer headers fit in the frame of an 82 chevy? They look like they come out farther before the bend. Im thinking about buying a set and using the drivers side and maybe using the passenger side from the hummer to make a mandrel bent header for the turbo manifold.

Also has anyone used a van intake or have any pictures? Im thinking about using them so I can set my water to air in the V of the engine.

looks like this is a new question. when i get a chance, i will do a search..........

alright thanks! did they use them on the military pick ups or not?
Well I did a little more searching and found someone who used them on a 6.2 N/A "over there"

the hummer headers do not fit , and require heavy mods to work, and the van center mount intake wont work on your motor unless you have the van heads with the different angled bolt holes...

ha i found that out the hard way.... I am currently selling some intake runners. The headers I was going to keep and modify the drivers side and leave the turbo side alone. It looks like if I bolt the hummer header to the head and use lots of heat and a long bar I'll be able to make it work or ill buy a bend or two.

Thanks for the reply!

the headers flow like crap, find a real 6.5l turbo driverside manifold that is 3".... then take your manifolds and repaint them with hi heat, and wrap everything with header wrap, including the cross-over, then you are at the top of what this system is capable of....

In my opinion the headers will flow much better, the drivers side one has perfectly matched ports and the passenger one I got has welds on the inside which would need ground down.
Already have the paint! I have used the high temp many times its great. I haven't wrapped the cross over or manifolds yet as I'm not sure it will be worth 50-70 dollars

Well turbonator by a lot of work I thought you meant some bending and maybe one or two cuts. The headers "bow" away from the engine so much that there is no way of even getting the drivers side one in place until it is hacked up a lot. So I just figured not to mess with it as I don't wanna deal with it. The passenger side hummer one might make a good base for building a turbo header.

With the 88 and up chevys the frame is much wider allowing the use of the hummer headers with slight mods such as one cut and weld.
