This is the quickest way to swap an IP shown in the video. The 2nd fuel filter location and procedure to change looks to be and is a nightmare to change. (I dunno if that made it to production.)
Because it comes up now and then - It is impossible for the IP gear to 'skip a tooth' when the IP is removed. There is not enough room in the gear/chain housing to allow the gear to un-mesh enough to skip a tooth - it simply hits the housing and can't skip teeth. I verified this with the WP cover off and no IP installed. The only way to get it to change timing is remove the gear completely from the housing. (Move IP Gear forward enough to un-mesh the gears and that can only be done with the water pump cover removed.)
