After installing a 2-button domelight in my regular cab, I decided that it would be much cooler to have the maps lights work with the dome lamp.
First thing you will have to do is remove your domelamp from your truck and disassemble the light itself.
This is accomplished by inserting a small length of wire in the extra contact in the map light switch. You will have to run and solider this wire to the hot side of the original dome lamp. You can see the connections in this picture
Now once you have this completed you will have to re-assemble your lamp, and plug it in and test. If all goes well, your map lights will now work with the dome lamp as well as independently from eachother.
