Everyone,

I have recently begun the patenting process for a part that I feel addresses an overlooked issue on our trucks, as well as many others. I will be marketing the product in the Spring of 09.

The folks on this site have been exceptional, and part of my marketing plan includes being a sponsor of this little growing community. It is my intention to market the part directly to the end user via the internet, and you know I'll be making a sweet DTR deal for you.

I am wondering how to find out how many of our favorite trucks have been built. Rough numbers are OK. Year by year would be best. Any idea? I've googled the heck out of it. I'm interested in C/K models from 88 till 2000, same body style as we all have.

It's interesting to me that a little industry unto itself could grow from these often shunned trucks, between A-Team turbo's and Heath gear etc.

I will also make a great deal for the fellow or lady that trades me their 3.42's for my 4.10's. Just back from long road trip and the MPG's suck! Sure accelerates nice though.

As i understand, over here they were imported from Canada in bits & pieces then rebuilt to what more or less i have to day..

Glad i`m over here, as my wife keeps telling me i`m very easily miss lead.,,, who me,, sorry, but i love my 3.42 , still looking forward to the other deal..the suspense is killing me.

You could try each state's department of motor vehicles - but I think that would be a waste of time. If it was me, and like Chris said, I would try GM's customer service. There's gotta be someone there that can give sales numbers. If you're lucky, maybe they can give you numbers on 6.5's that were sold (or produced). Since you're marketing through the internet, maybe you don't want to limit your audience strictly to C/K? Just a thought.

Oh, any chance you can give a hint? Maybe at least to the problem it addresses? :smile5:

If you do, I'm guessing this thread is going to get quite long with all of us trying to guess what you're up to!:D

I'll try GM.

Under advice of counsel, I will not hint. Under advice from myself, my DTR friends will have first crack, and it won't rock your bank account.

Thanks for the advice so far. BTW, it won't be limited to the C/K, even though it's my favorite.

I understand - hey, it was worth a shot, right? But I still want to have fun and guess! I'm going to guess something about monitoring fuel pressure? (Don't worry, you don't need to say 'yes' or 'no' or 'not quite' or even anything at all - I'm not trying to squeeze it out of you - just having fun guessing)

Here's a number for GM Customer Assistance - I've called this number in the past and they've been helpful. 800-462-8782

I'm looking forward to seeing what you've put together! The best mods for our 6.5's come from owners!
