How essential is the air dam under the bumper? It came off in pieces when I put the brush guard on. I can't tell any diff. I live in a mild clim: 100 max in summer at worst teens in dead of winter, 66 today. Handling? can't imagine anybody trying to push a truck fast enough to get too much air under it.

Think it looks better without it when I put the brush guard on. Drago is my dog's name just for general info, I never use my real name on the net, add to that I have four German shepherds and they all have facebooks, Emails, one has a credit card, I took that away from him when he blew it out when he ordered a bitch from East Germany

You gotta watch those dogs, especially those German Shepherds. Well he at least spent it on something worthwhile.

Most of the 2500/3500's didn't come with them from the OEM.
It probably has a small effect on the aerodynamics at high way speeds.
I wouldn't worry about it if you prefer the looks without it....

The air dam has to do with cooling by generating more of a low pressure under the truck so more air flows through the radiator w/o the fan. Not critical but part of the 'light duty' mindset and design. HD runs the fan more...
