I have a 98 k2500 and the harness connects at the firewall on the passenger side I am just wondering if there is a trick don't want to break the damm thing11.jpg12.jpg

That block doesn't come apart, it's just there so it can be secured to the firewall. The wiring continues on to the PCM and a few other items in there; it can all be disconnected just a little bit inside the passenger compartment behind the glovebox.

Its not a connector, its a water tight pass through. The entire harness bundle passes through the fire wall.

You can pull it apart, but that doesn't disconnect any wires, that must be done inside the cab.
